Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to the RoleTone website, account area, document-generation tools, and support communications. It does not govern an employer, job board, or another website you visit through a link from RoleTone.

Information you provide

RoleTone may receive the information you enter or upload, including your name, email address, phone number, city or province, work history, education, licences, skills, languages, availability, resume text, job-posting text, application notes, and feedback. You choose what to enter. Do not submit passwords, Social Insurance Numbers, passport numbers, banking or card details, or medical information.

How we use information

We use your information to create and save job-application materials, provide account access, respond to support requests, maintain the application tracker, prevent misuse, and improve the service. RoleTone is designed to help you prepare documents; it does not submit applications for you or guarantee a hiring result.

AI document generation

When you ask RoleTone to generate or improve a document, the work-history and job-posting content needed for that request may be processed by the AI service configured for RoleTone. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You must review every name, date, credential, claim, and employer detail before using the document.

Service providers and sharing

RoleTone may use technical providers to host the service, store application data, deliver the site, and process AI generation when those features are enabled. We do not sell your resume or profile information. We may disclose information if required to operate the service, protect users or the service, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.

Data retention

We keep account and document information while your account is active and for a reasonable period needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or meet legal obligations. The exact retention period may vary by deployment and is not yet published as a fixed number of days. Do not treat RoleTone as permanent document storage; keep your own copies of documents you need.

Security limits

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong unique password, keep it private, and avoid entering sensitive information that is not needed for a job application.

Payments

Payment is not available in the current version of RoleTone. If payments are enabled later, card payments should be handled by the payment provider rather than stored by RoleTone. This policy will be updated before a paid public launch.

Your choices and requests

You can review and update information in your profile. To ask about access, correction, deletion, or a privacy concern, email support@roletone.com from the address connected to your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may need to be kept where law or security requires it.

Children

RoleTone is not intended for children. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are under the age required to enter into these terms where you live.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes may require you to review and accept updated terms before using affected features.
